Reiki - The Word

First, here's a look at what Reiki is ...

Reiki is a Japanese spiritual and healing practice that supports you in feeling more connected to life.

You can either experience a Reiki treatment or study how to practice Reiki for yourself.

A Reiki treatment is one-hour long and is useful for specific healing or general relaxation. The client remains fully clothed at all times as the practitioner goes through a set healing process placing hands on or just off the body as agreed with the client prior to the treatment. Sex, age and condition are of no concern as the client's own body controls this energetic process. During the treatment the body will only take the amount of energy that it requires. A Reiki treatment is not intrusive and clients do not remove clothing and no private parts of the body are touched. If a client is wishing to work on a specific issue or health problem it is advisable to book for three one-hour treatments.

A 2-day Reiki course (called Shoden) will teach you:

* meditation techniques to strengthen and clear your energy

* to gain a clearer understanding of the working of energy in your life and its benefits

* to find a spiritual connection to life helping you to feel happier and healthier

* to heal the self and others using hand positions on or near the body

Most importantly, remember that the system of Reiki is about you and your spiritual journey.

Reiki – The Word

Two kanji (pictographs from Japan) make the word Reiki.

Previously these 2 kanji have been translated as 'Universal Energy' (or Universal Life Force Energy) in the West. This is obviously a translation of the 2nd kanji, ki, only. Ki is naturally the energy of everything including heaven and earth, the entire universe.

The first kanji, rei, may have been left out of English translations due to the fact that the term 'spiritual' was not the focus of the Western practice in the 20th century.

Modern Japanese also find the kanji for Reiki to be 'spooky' therefore in Japan these kanji are not used. Instead a different script that is phonetical and does not contain meaning (katakana) is used.

In Chinese, the same 2 kanji used to represent Reiki are pronounced differently but have a similar meaning. In Chinese, Reiki is called Ling chi.

Ling chi is the subtlest and most highly refined of all the energies in the human system and the product of the most advanced stages of practice, whereby the ordinary energies of the body are transformed into pure spiritual vitality. This type of highly refined energy enhances spiritual awareness, improves all cerebral functions, and constitutes the basic fuel for the highest level of spiritual work. Excerpt from Chi-gung: Harnessing the Power of the Universe by Daniel Reid

Pronunciation

To pronounce the word 'Reiki' in Japanese it is necessary to forego any preconceptions about language. The first sound in 'rei' is neither an R nor an L, as some Westerners believe. In Japanese the sound is in fact somewhere in between the two letters. The Japanese language has no correlation with English or its pronunciations.

The first time that the government initiated a standardized system and romaji (English letters used to translate kanji) were introduced was in 1885. The kanji for 'rei' 'is officially spelt with an R when translating into English and is therefore pronounced with an R (even though the Japanese pronunciation might sound similar to what is understood as an L in English).

    Where is Reiki Taking Us?

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

I often ask myself “Is the discovery of all this new Reiki information helping my Reiki teaching and practice?”- and this is my answer to myself…

The wonderful world of Reiki is changing minute by minute. Tick, tick, tick. I find that with each new day I am presented with more insights into the history of Reiki. I occasionally ask myself, ‘What is the use of that?’. But when Reiki is your way of life it can make a difference. New ideas and challenges can help you retain your integrity and humility as a teacher.

You may think that Reiki is greater than a few facts that the energy is all that you need to know. It is true that experience what makes a great teacher but also as a teacher to daily question your approach, your attitudes and your certainties leads in one direction and that is growth. Growth as an individual leads to integrity as a teacher. Ignorance is not bliss - it is laziness. Continually looking at what we teach and how we teach can only benefit us, our students and Reiki in the eyes of the community.

It is humbling to know that what we once knew is now changed. Change is a fact of life: birth, life, death. We are change. And yet we forget this - trying to tie ourselves down, resisting that which is natural. Mc Donald’s hamburgers are so popular not because they taste good but because they never change. You can buy that same hamburger wherever you are in the world and that is comforting – aaaah. Change can be traumatic, unexpected or down right ugly (let’s not forget exciting, stimulating and adventurous). Sometimes when we teach we talk so much, keeping control, telling others, holding on to what we know that we forget to listen. You see we may not like what we are listening to – it may tell us that we have lost touch, don’t know everything that there is to know or that things have changed. With our mouths shut and our ears open life can be a humbling experience. To be humble is to listen is to learn.

So new facts and details can not only arm us with interesting information but may lead us on a journey. So as a teacher learning new things, I try to remain truthful and continue to fill those Reiki files in my head with more fascinating data. Tick, tick, tick.

    Reiki on the Road

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Have you always wanted to travel but your budget is a little short and you're worried you'll 'feel so lonely I could die, boom boom'?

Well there's something that you could take with you that might help; it doesn't weigh a ton (it'll even leave room for that extra book) and will always leave love and compassion strewn across the path behind you . You'll have guessed by now what I'm about to suggest - Reiki! This article also applies to those who practise any healing art whether it be massage, shiatsu or acupressure.

Here's how to set yourself up.

Cost: We suggest that you charge the local price for a massage. Remember, you don't have to charge a lot to cover the costs of your next meal and you'll meet really interesting, like minded people who you'll probably end up having lunch with anyway and perhaps even travelling with. Instead of charging money you could also swap services; a massage, a painting, information, food etc.etc.

Where: Reiki can be practised anywhere though preferably in a quiet(ish) space on a comfortable something. Hmmm sounds a little vague doesn't it? But then that's the point - it really doesn't matter! When you're travelling you can do Reiki in the room of a backpackers, by the beach or in a park. Make the space more attractive by using aromatherapy (incense), candles or locally handcrafted materials.

Other ideas are to ring Health Resorts (your dream destination) and work for a month as a practitioner on a commission basis or for free board and rent.

Reiki Masters might want to rent a space if they are staying in an area for a while and offer courses for travellers. This can be a huge success as travellers are often interested in self development.

How: Carry an A4 sheet with you that announces 'Reiki treatments by your name'. Don't fill in where as yet but do leave a space. When you have found a place to practise, photcopy the sheet and fill in where. This might be your address 'Room 8, The Backpackers Inn' or it might say 'For more information meet me at Grandma's for breakfast between 8 and 10 every morning' - you eat there anyway! All you do is place a leaflet on the table so that everyone knows that it is you who they are looking for.

You can then copy this sheet a number of times and place in backpackers, hostels, restaurant windows, bus/train stations. Make sure you ask beforehand - you'll find most locals are curious and more than willing to help your venture. If necessary offer them a free treatment!

If money's no object and you are simply interested in practising your Reiki for the benefit of others, now's your chance. When travelling you can become involved in the immediate community by volunteering your services. You can do this formally through the Red Cross or local hospital or just ask around and there will surely be someone who needs Reiki. This is an excellent way to meet people, understand the culture (a little bit) and spread love and compassion. Perfect!

    The Magic of Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

For the sake of information, Reiki is a kind of holistic therapy that was based on the concept of Eastern energy flow with the conglomeration of seven chakras. Chakras are the energy centers in the human body. According to some of the therapy experts, the human body has a focal point. The therapy of Reiki concentrates on those points.

Reiki was invented and formulated by some of the Japanese healing teachers. But the most influential among them is Mikao Usui. Around the year of 1980, Usui incorporated the basic Reiki meditation techniques, beliefs, and symbols. Most of the techniques in this meditation therapy are considerably older.

The processes of this therapy are very much distinctive compared to other forms of alternative meditation. Reiki meditation normally concentrates on self-healing, concentration, the five spiritual principles, and the accreditation the healers through a process of initiation.

What are the primary principles of Reiki?

The main purpose of this therapy is to be able to heal emotional and spiritual flow. The other sub-purpose of this therapy is to gain physical stamina and resistance from the pain. This therapy can also transmit the flow of universal life energy called “ki” in Japanese.

Most of the Reiki therapy teachers believe that “ki” flows through the universe, and the therapy connects the energy to the human body. Reiki can be used in healing of animals as well as people.

The practice of self-healing is being practiced by the Reiki healers, in which they place their hand in a traditional position, stimulating their own body energy.

Reiki can also be practiced through group and distance healing. In group healing, there are two or more Reiki practitioners placing their hand over the body of the patient.

In distance or absence healing involves the visualizing the patient, his or her illness through the Reiki symbol.

    Wondering About Reiki?

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Friends, colleagues and clients often ask me about Reiki (pronounced “ray-kee”), as it is gaining such popularity as an alternative medicine. According to NCCAM, (National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine), Reiki is an energy medicine practice that originated in Japan. In Reiki, the practitioner places his hands on or near the person receiving treatment, with the intent to transmit ki, believed to be a life-force energy. Practitioners also believe that they can treat themselves with Reiki and send ki across short or long distances. In the United States, Reiki is part of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).

This article is to highlight the important points in this an from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine website, available at, http://nccam.nih.gov/health/reiki/.

The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words: Rei, or universal spirit (sometimes thought of as a supreme being), and ki. Thus, the word Reiki means "universal life energy." In CAM, Reiki belongs to a domain (area of knowledge) called energy medicine. In this domain, therapies are based on the belief that disturbances in energy cause illness. Energy medicine practitioners seek to improve the flow and balance of energy in a beneficial way.

As always, I encourage anyone who intends to utilize an alternative therapy, including Reiki, to talk to your health care provider before starting. It is still not proven how Reiki improves health or how it improves healing. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) is sponsoring studies to find out more about Reiki's effects, how it works, and diseases and conditions for which it may be most helpful.

Reiki practitioners perform the therapy with their hands, in the hopes to reduce negative energy and to increase the ki in the client. The client is usually fully clothed and sitting or lying comfortably. The practitioner places his hands on the client’s body using several different hand positions. The positions are held as long as the practitioner feels the energy is continuing, usually two to five minutes.

Reiki is performed in offices, hospitals, clinics and private homes. The number of sessions is determined by both the practitioner and the client and generally at least four sessions are scheduled, at 30 to 90 minutes each.

    Why people seek Reiki

People seek Reiki treatment for several health-related reasons. According to NCCAM, some of these reasons include:

    • Effects of stress.
    • Chronic pain.
    • Recovery from surgery and anesthesia.
    • Side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy for cancer.
    • Lowering heart rate.
    • Improving immunity.
    • Mental clarity.
    • Sense of well-being and/or spirituality.
    • Enhancing the sense of peace in people who are dying.
There tends to be a relaxed sensation after a Reiki session. That alone may be beneficial in combating certain health issues, such as pain, stress, and fatigue. Clients may also feel a warmth, tingling, sleepiness as well. Reiki appears to be safe with no serious side effects being reported.

Occasionally a person can experience symptoms of weakness, tiredness, headache or stomach ache, after a session. Practitioners believe these are effects of the releasing of toxins from the body, and advise rest and drink plenty of water as a way to deal with these symptoms.

Consider these points about using Reiki therapy:

    • Do not use Reiki as a replacement for conventional care or to delay the time it takes you to see a doctor about a medical problem.
    • Discuss any CAM therapies you are considering or using with your health care provider.
    • Ask the Reiki practitioner about his training and experience (see also the NCCAM publication "Selecting a CAM Practitioner").
    • Reiki has not been well studied scientifically, but you can find and read research studies published on its use for various health conditions (see “for more information” below).

One does not need a special background to receive Reiki training, though many who seek training are health care professionals. Reiki can not be self-taught, and must be learned from an experienced teacher or Master. There are several schools of Reiki and there are usually three or four levels of expertise, depending upon the school. Laws regulating the practice of Reiki vary from state to state. In Florida, for example, one must be a certified massage therapist in order to become a Reiki practitioner.

    Areas of controversy in Reiki:

    • Since little is known scientifically about Reiki, accepting its teachings about its healing properties and about ki is a matter of faith.
    • Some people believe that effects attributed to Reiki occur for psychological reasons (such as the placebo effect or suggestibility), or that there are no true effects.
    • Some people feel Reiki is incompatible with their religious or spiritual beliefs.
    • Government licensing and regulation of Reiki practice is a controversial area.

Reiki can be a great tool to help people in pain or who prefer a more spiritual form of relaxation. Reiki is just one of the many ways to accomplish this, and because many people may have heard about it, still many don’t know what it is. This article should help fill in any blanks you may have had. I would suggest you find a practitioner in your area and give it a try if it sounds interesting to you.

For more information, visit the website for the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, here at, http://nccam.nih.gov/health/reiki/. Finally, always, always consult your health care practitioner before beginning any alternative therapies.

    Reiki Master Responsibilities

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Reiki Master, what does it mean? Some say it is a level of achievement in Reiki, whilst others say it is an acceptance that Reiki has mastered the healer. And there are many definitions in-between.

To me, being a Reiki Master carries a great deal of responsibility which I must humbly accept. This breaks down into three main responsibilities.

The first responsibility is to oneself, to nurture and develop from within, and to release any negativity from within.

Often in today's world, we come across conflict that we can choose to either take on board or calmly resolve. We may get disease that we are to heal from holistically. We are challenged with negative emotional reactions which we must let go of. We are challenged with residual negative emotions from our past, feelings such as worry, anger, low self-steem, we are not to allow these feelings to fester and grow but to let them go and heal. Above all, we have to take care of ourselves, living by the Reiki Principles as given by Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, and allowing ourselves Reiki healing every day. After all, we are not of much use to anyone else if we are ourselves a mess! I find that for myself and for other Reiki Masters, this first responsibility is the hardest to carry out. It is an ongoing effort which gets easier with years of practice. The key is to keep going back to the teachings of Usui with an open mind and humble spirit.

The second responsibility is to people who come to us for Reiki. There are members of the public who come for treatment and students who come for initiation and teaching.

When someone comes for a treatment with Reiki, my teaching was to explain to the client that Reiki is a holistic energy, going to where it is most needed, and to encourage the client to holistically take care of their health.. Reiki works very differently from allopathic medicine. Whilst allopathic medicine fixes the symptom, Reiki healing is directed at the whole person. For instance, if a client came complaining of knee pain, it may be that the knee is stressed because the hip is out of alignment. The hip may have become that way in order to compensate for a shoulder being out of alignment. This may have happened due to stress in the person's life. If this stress is still ongoing, the Reiki is likely to heal the stress first. This makes sense, as leaving the stress there may lead to further shoulder-hip-knee misalignment and further knee damage! Part of the responsibility of the Reiki Master is to make the client aware of this holistic process and the need for several sessions. This gives the Reiki the chance to heal the symptoms as well as the underlying causes.

When a student comes for initiation and teaching, this is the beginning of a spiritual, emotional, mental and physical journey. The Reiki Master has to take into account the road traveled before this point and most importantly, support the student on their exciting new journey with Reiki.

Many of us have come into Reiki from a background of physical or emotional pain. For some, there was a spiritual void to fill. A good Reiki Master will be sensitive to the needs of their students. This means avoiding environmental irritants in the class to care for students with chemical sensitivities. It means letting go of abusive remarks given by angry souls. It means being firm but gentle with students from an emotionally unhappy life. Above all, in the class the Reiki Master should ensure the student feels wanted, respected, accepted and loved. After the initiation and teaching, the Reiki Master can support their student by making available and stressing the need for regular contact and supervision. The rest is up to the student and what feels right for their development with Reiki.

The third responsibility is towards loved ones and all other creatures; in short, our environment. Our healing includes caring for this environment. This does not mean allowing an abusive family member to abuse us or contributing to social wrongs because everyone else seems to! It means being responsible, loving unconditionally, and allowing healing to flow wherever it is needed and with permission of the healee. For instance, a Reiki Master can start each day by asking that they are a channel, or conduit, for Reiki energy and allowing it to flow wherever they walk in nature. A Reiki Master can choose to purchase environmentally-friendly products. A Reiki Master can be available for family members for healing as feels appropriate and be a force for good. A Reiki Master living by the Reiki Principles will earn their living honestly, honour their teachers and elders, and be gracious to every living thing.

I am indeed very glad that I took the step to become a Reiki Master. It can be difficult to live the Reiki way of life sometimes, and I get the odd reminder every now and then. But the love and acceptance that Reiki teaches us for others and ourselves means that we always open to receiving love. When we channel or receive love, love goes through us, and we feel love.

Complementary and alternative health education and empowerment is my passion. My name is Suzanne Zacharia and I am committed to empowering people to take conrol of their health and wellness.

A virus caught along with 5 other students at university at the end of 1986, plus medical negligence, meant that I got smokers lung at a relatively young age. In desperation for help with my symptoms and quality of life, I turned to complementary therapy, and this is the 11th year I have outlived one doctor's prognosis.

I am now a complementary therapist, author and trainer specialising in "energy" therapy. My company is called New Age London, with some carefully-chosen expert teachers and trainers of alternative and complementary health working with me. De-Stressing with Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

This is a Japanese technique from the early 1900’s created by Mikao Usui. The word can be translated as either ‘spiritual energy’ or ‘universal energy’. The first level is taught over a two-day period and has dual competencies; the student may use it on clients (in conjunction with other therapies) and on the self as a personal development tool.

The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to re-align and bring the body into a natural balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The energy washes down through the body clearing energetic obstructions and strengthening the flow of this energetic ‘river’, or the meridians. Therefore, there are similarities between the system of Reiki and other therapies such as acupuncture. The differences are that this system does not manipulate the energy or body, is not intrusive and is an extremely simple technique that anyone can learn and use in complete safety.

A client will find that Reiki works on many levels. This system is not diagnostic and does not aim to achieve specific results. It is believed that the client’s body is always in survival mode and will therefore draw the energy where he/she needs it rather than where the practitioner believes it is beneficial. This is why the practitioner cannot harm the client, as it the client’s body that is in control of what is energetically happening.

To be aligned or balanced sounds wonderful but what does it mean for the client? Initially, one moves into a deep, restful space and may or may not actually sense the energy according to one’s sensitivity. Benefits of this ‘giving over’ to the energy may be clarity of thought, renewed physical strength, calmness, reduced stress levels, a sense of connectedness as well as the easing of conditions such as insomnia, depression and addiction. True relaxation is reflected in one’s face after a Reiki treatment. Stress tightens the muscles and skin and when we relax we look and feel years younger.

Clients do not need to remove any clothing during a treatment and hands are placed either on or just off the body. Practitioners are taught to channel energy from around them through their bodies and out through their hands. The client then draws on this energy. This means that the practitioner does not use his/her own energy and feels refreshed afterwards rather than exhausted. In fact the practitioner is receiving a treatment at the same time as the client –making it beneficial for all involved.

To practise this system it is necessary to learn from a Reiki teacher (often called a Reiki Master). It is possible to integrate Reiki into any health or beauty modality once the practitioner has completed the first level of the 3-part system. If the practitioner wished to work solely with the system of Reiki then it would be suggested that the practitioner complete the second level of the system and join a student clinic to build experience with the energy and on-on-one client skills. The third level of the system continues the practitioner’s own personal development and may be used to begin studying toward becoming a Reiki teacher.

Clients today are more interested in spirituality and well-being than ever before. To be able to bring these elements into the traditional clinic environment of a salon or spa, a special atmosphere is created. Clients today expect ‘Holistic’ treatments. This meaning that they wish to be pampered from every direction including the more mystical and spiritual paths.

It is exciting for clients to know that when they come for a treatment there is likely to be a new element added to the more traditional salon and spa techniques. If a client knows that the practitioner is continually upgrading their knowledge and abilities then the client will also feel confident in such capable hands.

    The Benefits of Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Anyone, anywhere can use this system. A child, as you can see by this photo, can grasp the simplicity of meditation practices used within Reiki and will respond to hands on healing naturally -receiving and offering it without self consciousness when a situation arises.

It is the most natural thing in life to want to live well and be with others in harmony and that is why children respond to it so easily. The system of Reiki encourages such a lifestyle. For adults it is the task of remembering these qualities that we must endeavour to recall through practice.

Our mind and body knows how to help itself - the system of Reiki supports that innate healing process. Therefore by working with Reiki we can see that it speeds up the natural healing process. For these reasons it was taught in Japan in the late 1920s as first aid to the military who, though they were technologically advancing rapidly, had a health system that was antiquated.

One of the most fundamental concepts of Reiki is that our bodies draw on more energy to clear stagnant energy. We cannot say exactly why this happens and with the system of Reiki it is not necessary to do so. This is not a system that diagnoses - all we need to know is that our bodies will draw on the energy and take it where it is needed. If the rational mind gets in the way by diagnosing we are limiting the healing possibilities of spiritual energy.

Below we have listed some of the possible benefits of the system to give you an idea as to how the energy can affect your life.

    Physical

    * Reiki works on all chronic and acute illnesses, including serious problems like heart disease and cancer as well as skin problems, flu, fatigue, headaches, back pain etc.

    * The immune system strengthens allowing the body to fight off illness easier.

    * First Aid (as it speeds up healing)

    Mental

    * Your mind becomes calmer

    * You no longer feel stressed

    * When you think clearer you can 'see' clearer

    * You will be able to answer all your own questions knowing that you have the answers.

    Emotional

    * The mind calms and becomes less erratic.

    * Eases depression, insomnia, lack of confidence, addiction and fear-based illnesses.

    Spiritual

    * Increased intuition leads to a more purposeful direction in life.

    * Feel connected and in tune with the universe.

Reiki - A Path to Wholeness

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Ask yourself what you want. Move past the initial expensive car, castle, super job extravaganza and keep asking – what do I want?

Stop for one moment. Feel your physical body, notice your thoughts and draw one large deep breath. Now breathe out and sit quietly in this fresh space. Experience how the breath has briefly connected your mind and body together. Now ask, “What is it that I truly want out of life?”

    You may eventually answer:
    I want to feel happy.
I want to know who I am.
I want to feel free and light without any pressures at all.
I want to feel safe and warm and touched by life.
I want to know love - unlimited and unconditional.
I want to see the beauty around me.
I want to experience what this world is all about and understand why I am here.

In short: you want to feel connected.

You can be all of these things and more, because happiness comes from inside of you. Inside you there is a place that, when accessed, knows what each of these things feel like.

The system of Reiki aims to help you find that inner heart and learn from it. You have the aptitude, and the system has the tools. There are no secrets or magic to this – all that is needed is you and your intention to remember. Everyone can find what the Japanese call “honu no reikô,” the spiritual light that exists within.

Finding the spiritual light within you is possible because it has always lived there. You are this spiritual light. Beneath the clutter of everyday life exists this precious human self.

Working with a solid energetic practice such as the Japanese form of Reiki can guide you on this path back to your inner self. Originating in the early 1900s in Japan, it is the system’s four major influences that give it its backbone. These are Japanese martial arts, Shintoism (the indigenous faith of the Japanese people), and two esoteric forms of Buddhism--Shugendô and Mikkyo. Elements taught in the Japanese Reiki system include breathing meditations, hands-on healing and simple daily precepts and guidelines. These elements help develop a spiritual practice that supports you in remembering your connection, no matter what religion you may be or what other techniques you may practice.

At the crux of many facets of Japanese culture, religion and philosophy are something we’ve called the three diamonds. These three diamonds are also at the very core of a traditional Japanese Reiki practice.

A diamond is an analogy for the self. Each and every day a Reiki practitioner polishes the diamond by performing his or her practice. This is a constant task for humans who, in this earthly realm, attract dirt, becoming muddy and tarnished. A diamond is so sharp that it can cut through almost anything humanity attaches itself to, bringing back the true essence of life, as seen in the perfection of a sparkling diamond.

Each of these three diamonds works with a different energetic part of you. The first is the physical, grounded aspect of you called Earth energy. The second is the mental, emotional aspect of you, called Sky energy, and lastly, the third diamond is Heart energy. It is in Heart energy that the Earth and the Sky are brought together to create wholeness.

Imagine a triangle: it has a lovely broad base with a point at its tip. If that base tried to balance at the top it would topple over. The human body is just like this triangle; it energetically needs a firm foundation before progressing further into deeper spiritual realms.

Therefore, energetic work begins with the first diamond, Earth energy, which symbolically occupies an area just beneath the navel. This is your base and foundation in life. It grounds you helping you feel relaxed, assured and capable, and offers your physical body the strength to perform well.

The second diamond of Sky energy is representative of the mind with its ethereal nature. Here your intuition is developed and your mental skills are honed.

Lastly, the third diamond of Heart energy is home to the integrated forces of these two human strengths: the body and the mind. If you have worked on the first two diamonds, you will find that the heart opens with ease and that the list of what you truly want out of life can become a reality. By clearing the elements of human nature and then drawing them all together, you have become whole.

So, go on, stop for one moment. Feel your physical body, notice your thoughts and draw one large deep breath. Breathe out and sit quietly in this fresh space. Experience how the breath has briefly connected your body and mind together. Now ask, “What is it that I truly want out of life?"

    Reiki Energy Balance

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Here’s a simple exercise that anyone can do, even if they haven’t been ‘attuned’ to Reiki. It requires a basic knowledge of channeling Reiki energy, the positions of the 7 primary chakras and a willingness to spend some time making someone else feel good. Everything else is optional. For those who’ve never channeled Reiki or studied it, first take a moment and see my other article “Basic Reiki” for instructions on how to open up to and channel the energy.

    Setting the tone

I like to create a nice atmosphere when doing Reiki. I usually light up some nice incense and for music I usually use Nik Tyndall’s “Reiki-Healing Hands” CD as it’s also designed to help open the heart chakra.

    Getting Started

Just lie down in a comfortable position and put a pillow under your knees to help take the strain off your lower back.

Place one hand over your 3rd eye and the other over your 1st chakra. Now just relax and open up to the energy and let it flow down through the top of your head, through your heart chakra and out through your hands. Spent several minutes here, or until you feel like it’s time to change.

Next move one hand up to your 2nd Chakra and the other down to your Throat Chakra. Spend as much time as you need here, and then move one hand down to your Heart Chakra and the other up to your Solar Plexus Chakra. After you finish here then just switch your hands around to your chakras at random and continue tuning them up for as long as you desire.

    Getting Deeper

These exercises can obviously be enhanced by using the Reiki Symbols and by having the Attunements, but neither is really necessary. Over time your body will attune itself if you keep running the energy.

These exercises can also be enhanced by regularly practicing ‘The 5 Tibetans’ exercises also, as they help tune and rejuvenate your chakras also.

There are so many things that can be done, both with Reiki and your Chakra System, and the point of this exercise is to help you balance your energy and feel better. It’s also about building up your own catalog of experience, as it’s pretty hard for any teacher to tell you what a certain exercise should feel like when you do it. I can tell you how it feels to ME when I do it, but it may feel differently to you when you do it yourself, so play with it and see how it feels.

This is also about learning to trust yourself and your own feelings and the only way to do that is play with it and have fun.

    The History of Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

The history of Reiki is a fascinating and thought provoking subject in itself. To understand Reiki you must surely first learn and understand the history of Reiki.

Reiki was first created in the 20th century by Mikao Usui, who was a Tendai Buddhist. He spent a large amount of time meditating and fasting, and it was during these activities that he discovered Reiki. He wrote that he had learned of the practice through a mystical experience. The knowledge that he gained would allow him to harness and apply the powers that are attributed to Reiki. By using initiations, he would be able to help people gain access to energy. When patients participate in these initiations, they may become a more powerful channel for the energy, and this can help them receive better treatments.

Some of the ideas for Reiki are quite similar to the concept of "qi." Usui also studies subjects such as Yoga, Ayurveda, and classic Chinese medicines. Mikao Usui would go on to train a number of students, who went on to become his disciples. One of his most prominent disciples was Chujiro Hayashi, who went on to teach and spread the Reiki techniques. The variation that he taught was much more simple than the techniques that had been promoted by Mikao Usui. It was Hayashi who first developed a collection of specific hand positions. This was a sharp contrast to Usui, who preferred more mystical methods for treatment.

Hayashi trained Hawayo Takata, and she would go on to introduce the practice in the United States. While she claimed to be a Grandmaster, the term is not used in Japan. As the practice of Reiki spread throughout the world, the practice became split into two categories, and these are independent school and traditional school. The traditional schools were devoted to teaching Reiki in the same manner that it was taught by the founder Mikao Usui. In contrast, the independent schools teach Reiki in a way that differs greatly from that which was used by Usui.

Ironically, Reiki is rare in Japan, the country from which it originated. It is much more popular in the West, and has become popular in a number of hospitals. One notable example of Reiki being used by the healthcare industry is the National Health Service in the United Kingdom.

In recent years, a number of changes have occurred with Reiki schools. Many of them are now moving towards independent forms that can allow the treatment to be more widely available to a larger segment of the population. Some have even begun merging Reiki with a number of New Age practices or beliefs such as channeling and Wicca. A number of symbols and new procedures have been added.

The vast majority of changes that have been made in Reiki are a result of the harm that adherents believe Hawayo Takata brought to the practice. While her methods were strict, the methods that are used for Reiki today are much more loose. One element that some schools have added to the practice of Reiki is called Seichim energy, and will alter the experience and practice of channeling. The independent Reiki movement has made it popular with a larger segment of the population.

To learn more about the History of Reiki and the story of Mikao Usui, Reiki Master Stephen Leigh has written a fascinating book entitled ‘Discover-Reiki’. Not only is the history of Reiki explored and discussed but the book is a step-by-step guide to learning Reiki from home in just 7 days!

    Usui Reiki Ryoho

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Reiki is a spiritual practice of channeling spiritual energy from a never-ending Universal source that brings about healing. So Reiki can be loosely defined as being spiritual energy and the word Ryoho stands for therapy, remedy, and healing, curing method. This name is the original name given to Reiki by Mikao Usui. It is also called Usui Reiki Ryoho, Reiki Ryoho or even shortened to Reiho. The story goes that Usui achieved enlightenment (satori) on the mountain Kurama Yama and he went on to use his wisdom to develop a form of healing and path for spiritual growth that was Reiki.

Reiki as an art has always been passed on through the ages in the form of oral tradition from teacher to student that includes initiation and teachings to be able to receive and transmit the spiritual universal energy, share love and compassion to bring about healing and harmony.

Usui Reiki Ryoho is taught at 3 levels:

    • The beginning level is called Shoden which teaches the student to access the Universal energy for themselves as a method of self-healing.
    • The second level is the level of Attunement called Okuden which increases the power and versatility and is for directing the flow of that energy and healing others. Here the initiate is introduced to three of the four sacred symbols of Reiki namely Cho Ku Ray, Sei He Ki and Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen.
    • Shinpiden is the teacher level and it empowers the initiate with the knowledge of the fourth symbol of Reiki called Dai Ko Myo and the student now can initiate others to the practice of this healing tradition called Reiki.

In Dr. Usui Sensei’s words, “Reiki Ryoho is a spiritual healing technique and an energy healing technique”. This spiritual healing takes place when one’s energies are in perfect tune with the Universal Consciousness which brings about wellness and relief from pain and disturbances in the energies of the mind, body and spirit. Reiki Ryoho is an expression of Universal Love, a form of love that is Universal and Unconditional Love expands over all life and attunes with Divine Love. Reiki Ryoho also raises the vibrations of the mind, body and spirit to perfectly resonate in sync with the vibrations of the Divine thus promoting Harmony and Peace not just on a personal level but also to all whose lives come in contact with ours and in effect manifests on a global level. It is a self-help natural technique that can be safely used and can be synchronized with any other form of healing that brings about personal growth and transformation on all levels.

An important thing to note that Usui Reiki Ryoho can’t be taught by everybody, there are many Reiki schools but Usui Reiki Ryoho is a specialized branch that requires specialized training in order to teach it. Lastly, Dr. Usui used the following words to sum up the principles of Reiki: “Just for today, do not worry. Just for today, do not anger. Honor your parents, teachers and elders. Earn your living honestly. Show gratitude to every living thing.”

    Hypnotherapy With Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Hypnotherapy, or hypnosis, is one of the most popular mind therapies for a quick change. The relaxation and positive suggestions made in hypnotherapy feel good. Hypnotherapy is often the first choice for giving up smoking, overcoming a phobia, losing weight, and increased confidence.

And there is something really nice about your hypnotherapist taking over and relaxing your mind. It feels good, and the results are good to enjoy too.

Sometimes, we need more than talking can achieve and still want to relax and have someone else do it all for us. Perhaps we need some extra TLC from more than just talk, as effective as this can be. This is when it is great to have a hypnotherapist who also practises Reiki.

Reiki is what in complementary therapy is called an energy. Energy healing involves your body's electromagnetism and so helps balance your mind and body's energetic flow. Often referred to as hands-on healing, it usually involves the channelling of healing through the healer's hands. Reiki can be felt as hot, cold, tingly, sometimes like a breeze or a wave, and may be felt near the healer's hands or at a different location. Reiki goes to where it is most needed, which may or may not be where you expect healing to occur. As with talk hypnotherapy, occasionally there is a healing reaction or an emotional release, although this soon passes. Reiki is very gentle and suitable for everyone.

A Reiki session can be easily integrated into your hypnotherapy treatment. Your hypnotherapist can start with the Reiki and allow the Reiki to flow, balancing your mind and body and facilitating change. Then the talk hypnotherapy can start as usual or expected. Or your practitioner may choose to have breaks in the talk hypnotherapy for Reiki when encountering a stubborn negative thought pattern for that extra energetic oomph. Some practitioners start with a 10-minute Reiki to centre you then carry on with the hypnotherapy, finishing with Reiki so you feel more grounded at the end.

An added bonus is that you may feel more deeply relaxed with the combination of Reiki and hypnosis. And that is always nice!

    A Beginner's Guide to Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Interested in Reiki, but don’t know where to start? Confused by the universal life energy? Reiki is actually a simple technique, created in the 20th century but based on ancient Eastern principals regarding ki or chi.

Reiki (pronounced ray key) is a Japanese word that means universal life energy. Rei means the universal spirit or soul and ki means life force energy. Ki is the same as chi, which you see in the word tai chi. Our bodies and everything around us is made up of energy. When we are attuned to this energy everything flows in a balanced manner. Reiki focuses on removing energy blockages and doing this is a proposed treatment for physical, mental, and spiritual problems.

In a Reiki session, a client lies down on a table while the Reiki practitioner moves her hands over the body. She channels the Reiki energy and directs it to the client. There are a variety of hand positions that are taught as a basis to Reiki healing, and a practitioner uses these along with their own experience and intuition as a guide.

If a person is interested in becoming a Reiki practitioner, there are three levels that he must study. In the first level, the student is attuned to the Reiki energy so that they may begin to heal themselves. With the second level, the student learns symbols and meditation so that they can become more focused and take their studies to the next level. This level also introduces distance healing. The third level is the Master Teacher level. In addition to learning more symbols and meditations, he is taught the attunement processes of all three levels and is now able to teach Reiki to others.

You have the power to attune yourself to this incredible energy. To learn how, visit here.

    Reiki: Alternative Healing

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

There are many alternative forms of healing being used in the world today. One of the most famous is Reiki. Reiki takes it’s name from the Japanese form of two Chinese ideograms, REI which means soul, spirit or ghost and KI (qi or chi) which means energy or life force.

Reiki is a form of spiritual healing that was officially introduced in the early part of the 20th Century, by Mikao Usui, for the treatment of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems. It is said Usui received the wisdom of the system after fasting and meditating for three weeks on Mount Kurama. Reiki practitioners use a system akin to laying on of hands, this allows them the channel the energy of the universe through them into the patient.

There are three stages to Reiki, level 1, level 2 and level three more often given the name master level. Any one who attains the master level attunement is also shown how to attune others, and thereby increasing the Reiki practitioner community. No one is forced to become a master it is simple a matter of choosing and being attuned after a period of time.

During the attunements which happen over several months the student is also aware of their own spiritual side changing and healing in many ways. As such it is often said they have undergone a spiritual detox. In some Reiki schools the students are also taught the use of runic symbols to allow them to summon the energies in the early stages of their practice.

Reiki has established itself both in the Eastern and Western worlds, sadly since Usui brought us Reiki it has become a much sought after addition to a healing system, this has brought on an increase in costs from many tutors, so much so that some charge extortionate amounts and give themselves tiles where none are needed. Reiki comes from heaven and as such is for all who wish to practice, not just for those who can afford it.

    Reiki Distance Healing

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Could you imagine being healed without having to go to a doctor? But this is very much possible with Reiki. As Reiki is the flow of healing energies that are Universal, they can be directed to any part of the Universe with the correct intention and this energy reaches out to the person(s) whom they are intended for and perform healing as a bridge between time and space. Reiki energy can also be stored and used later or even sent into the future to be released at a certain time just like a battery would store up energy!

There are various symbols that are used in Reiki practice, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is the symbol used for distance/absentee healing and this symbol can act as a special point of focus and combines the power of sacred geometry to hold and send energies over the boundaries of time and space. The distance symbol is considered as the most useful and powerful symbol and this symbol which means ‘No past, no present, no future’ is often used to heal past life problems too. The Akashic Records or the records of a soul’s life and the karmic deeds and bonds of a lifetime are all stored in a file cabinet that is called the Akashic Records and these sacred records can’t be accessed by anyone at all but they can be tapped into by a Reiki practitioner who has been working with a person can sense the makeup of the person and use this information to bring about healing present life problems that are caused due to past or parallel life karma. Even healing past trauma in the same life is possible with Reiki.

Though each practitioner will have their own methods of performing a distance healing, most like to keep a picture or visualize the person in their mind’s eye and send Reiki energy to the individual. Yet others can work with only a name and a few other vague details. Similarly Reiki can also be used to heal a sick pet or even a dying plant. There is also another method of creating energy grids or crystal energy grids that are used to attract more positive healing energies and then direct them towards the specific purpose for which they have been built, this ensures a constant flow of Reiki energy. Often energy workers are seen setting up healing grids when a disaster or tragedy occurs in the world to send healing energies to the affected or even to heal Mother Earth.

In distance healing the Reiki energy tends to work on the recipient’s subtle body instead of the physical body and thus it works at clearing the chakras and cleansing the aura to bring about a healing that is not just instant but wholesome. Distance/absentee healing can also be used for people who are extremely ill, in the hospital or very aged people incapable of walking etc, Reiki can greatly help in improving their condition, speed up the healing process and help people to age well and lessen the pain of chronic disorders.

Reiki is indeed a versatile and powerful practice that can work without any barriers.

    Learning Reiki: Attunement

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Learning Reiki is a spiritual process. If you learn Reiki, it is there with you for the rest of the life. You do not forget it ever. One attunement brings all that you need but additional attunements bring more refinements in the Reiki learning. Learning Reiki also stimulates the inner intuition, awareness and other inner abilities within a person.

When you start learning Reiki, you are supposed to prepare yourself for the attunement. There are certain rules that are to be followed when you start learning the process of the Reiki. First of all you are supposed to refrain from eating meat, fish etc before attunement. These foodstuffs frequently hold drugs in the form of penicillin and pesticides that make your system lethargic and throw it out of balance. You are supposed to have a water or juice fast. Reiki with Massage

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Reiki is great, and having Reiki on a regular basis is truly a blessing.

A Reiki session is what in complementary therapy is called energy healing. This involves your body's electromagnetic field, which we loosely call "energy", and what we call spiritual "energy" or universal life force. Often referred to as hands-on healing, it usually means the channelling of healing through the healer's hands either onto the client directly or indirectly through the client's aura (electromagnetic field). Reiki can be felt as hot, cold, tingly, sometimes like a breeze or a wave, and may be felt near the healer's hands or at a different location. Reiki goes to where it is most needed, which may or may not be where you expect healing to occur. Occasionally there is a healing reaction or an emotional release, although this soon passes. Reiki is very gentle and suitable for everyone.

A regular Reiki session helps you to feel more balanced and helps your emotional, spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing. Reiki can improve your immune function, release old emotional wounds, and pave the way for positive changes in your life.

Sometimes, you may also have a sore back, a tight neck and shoulders or sore muscles in need of actual physical manipulation. This is when it is great to have a Reiki practitioner who is also a massage therapist.

A massage treatment can be easily integrated into your Reiki session. Your Reiki and massage practitioner can start your regular Reiki session, break for your massage, and finish with Reiki as usual. Or the session can start with massage, have a break and allow the Reiki to flow, and continue with the massage. A nice touch is to finish by grounding with Reiki at the feet. And there are many variations on this theme.

A massage with your Reiki session may be all that is needed to shift that nagging backache, free your shoulder pain or relieve aching feet. And if you love Reiki and have regular exercise or use a computer all day, combining massage with your Reiki session should help keep you supple and promote better posture.

Most of us aspire to greater spiritual wholeness. Sometimes the physical element is needed for a true balance. Enjoy massage with your Reiki session; it is a truly holistic treat.

I am now a complementary therapist, author and trainer. My company is called New Age London, which includes myself and carefully-chosen expert practitioners, teachers and trainers of alternative complementary health. Reiki Treatment: Scope

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Reiki treatment can cure everything as it works at the basic intensity of realism. The only thing that restricts Reiki treatment is the person’s outlook. If the person who is taking Reiki treatment is reluctant to believe in Reiki treatment then he is generating an obstruction for himself. According to the Reiki treatment, other than our material body, we have three other bodies. These unseen, spiritual bodies are made up of energies that is made up of 'Chi', which manages and influences the physical body. Ordinary medication only cures the physical body.

Reiki treatment tries to cure all the four bodies. Medical science sees and medicates only the symptoms whereas Reiki treatment not only cures the symptoms but also tries to cure the main cause of the symptoms. Reiki treatment functions in the energy arrangement that lies beneath the bodily matter. According to Reiki practitioners, Reiki works at a stage where everything can be altered as in the energy arrangement anything can be changed. Therefore Reiki treatment can cure both bodily and emotional illness.

Reiki treatment’s curative energy has an aptitude that is far from an individual’s realization and will go in the track for which it is desirable irrespective of the hand position. It should be remembered that the only thing that can create obstruction in the Reiki treatment is a person’ unwillingness to give up old practices and patterns. He should be willing to accept alterations and curing. Healing in Reiki treatment is not just curing the bodily pains and diseases but it also means returning the person to total condition of psychological and bodily health.

    The Way of Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

Reiki. . . A word many have heard and yet few truly understand.

To most people Reiki is ALL about healing. And yes, it is a healing art. . . yet, so much more!

So, What exactly is Reiki, you ask?

Reiki, is best known in the West as a gentle, though powerful, system of hands on healing. . . for healing yourself, others, plants, animals, and such.

When seeking a definition of a spiritual context, it has been determined that 'Rei' can be defined as the Higher Intelligence that guides the creation and functioning of the Universe.

Rei is a subtle wisdom that permeates everything. . . both animate and inanimate. Because of Its infinite nature It is all knowing.

'Ki' is the nonphysical energy that animates all living things. Ki is flowing in everything that is alive, including plants, animals and humans.

Based on subtle life energy that flows through our hands, a Reiki treatment produces a warm glowing radiance that nurtures and restores vitality.

Reiki treatments can help to improve EVERY aspect of human activity.

Simply put. . . as Reiki flows through a sick or unhealthy area, it breaks up and washes away any negative thoughts or feelings lodged in the unconscious mind/body, thus allowing a normal healthy flow of Ki to resume.

In its long history of use, Reiki has been known to help or heal every illness known to humanity.

The great value of Reiki is that because it is guided by the Higher Intelligence. It knows exactly where to go and how to respond to restrictions in the flow of Ki.

However, Reiki is not just about healing. It has far more to offer than that.

In addition to assisting with healing, Reiki can help you. . .

Discover your true purpose in life
Produce and achieve all your goals
Heal past traumas, which may be hindering your growth
    Discover your own spiritual path
Find contentment. . . and more.

As the number of Reiki practitioners grows, Reiki is helping facilitate the shift to world peace and harmony that is so desperately needed.

Reiki is a living, breathing, ever unfolding life force energy. This energy becomes a powerful Way of Life.

Reiki can create a way of living, doing and being just right for each individual. . . a way of life that is filled with ever increasing joy.

No matter what you have been doing with your life and no matter where you are, it is always possible for Reiki to lead you back to your true spiritual path.

Because of our perspective, it appears that Reiki Energy comes down from above and enters the top of the Reiki practitioner’s head.

Then, it appears to flow through the body and out the hands.

However, the true Source of the Energy of Reiki is within YOU.

This is. . . ‘The Way of Reiki’!

For over 15 years Charlsie has been ‘consciously’ on (and off, on and off. . . well, you know!) the path to transformation and consciousness. Much of her time is spent observing nature, exploring metaphysics and pondering on the so called mysteries of our Universe. My Experience With Reiki

    >> CLICK HERE To Learn Reiki From Two Highly Experienced Usui Reiki Masters

In November of 2004, I injured my back severely I had cracked two discs in the lower back and was in great pain. After many months of pain I decided to have the back surgery the doctor had recommended he said he could repair the disc but could not guarantee that the pain or the lack of movement could be regained completely.

So in March of 2006. I had the surgery. When waking up the physician told me there was more damage done then they thought, so the surgery had gone on longer than expected. They did repair the disc and I should be home in about 10 to 14 days.

Needless to say, I was in quite discomfort the first day, that evening a friend came to visit and along with her she brought a friend. She introduce Pattie as a Reiki Practitioner and teacher. Pattie explained that she could do a massage on me, one that did not require putting her hands on me, but when she was done. She said I should not have any pain……right!!!!

What did I have to lose? I was not going anywhere.

Pattie then placed her hands above my head and closed her eyes and started breathing. Within minutes, I started to feel a warm sensation enter the top of my head. She then went down my body and did the same at different locations on my body, and each time the heat followed.

She did this for about 45 minutes to an hour, slowly moving down my body. When she was done,I was warm all over and feeling a little tinglely. I thanked her and she left. My first though was, what a nut. But then I realized that the pain in my back was gone. I thought that it was some kind of joke, and I waited for the nurse to bring my pain shot. When the nurse came in about an hour later, I told her I did not need the shot. Imagine, after two years of intense pain and having to use pain medications for just little relief, I had no pain at all! And I was able to sleep a whole night without waking.

Pattie returned the following day and I told her what had happened, and asked her how she did it. She explained that she used Reiki on me. And that Reiki was a technique that uses energy to heal the physical and mental body. I was very interested in learning more. She promise to teach me once I was home, and then gave me another massage and left.

The surgeon came in later that evening and asked why I did not take the pain medicine, and said that there was no reason not to take it if needed. That was the problem, I did not need it, then, or the following two days.

The surgeon was amazed at how I was recovering, he said that I should have been in pain and unable to move without the use of a walker for at least 4-5 days and here I was, no pain, on walker and walking the hall in only 2 days. I was allowed to go home the following day, I had only been in the hospital for three days.

On my visit to the physicians the following month, the Dr, was amazed at my recovery. The incision had healed completely and the xrays showed the disc, where there should still be extensive swelling, there was almost none. He was very happy to see that my recovery which should take about six months to a year was healing so much quicker.

Today and only one year from the surgery, though I still do have my bad days, I am able to walk, sit and lay down. I am able to dress myself, and do minor tasks, where I was unable to do any of this before .

As promised Pattie taught me the technique of Reiki and one year later I was attuned.

Reiki is an un - intrusive technique of healing the physical and mental conditions of the body, While receiving a massage you might feel a warm sensation ( as I had ) or some say they feel a cool one. The technique can last for as little as 15 minutes or as long as one hour. Either will leave you energized.

Reiki is easy to learn and is taught by a Reiki Master, and after a few classes there is a spiritual attunement. After the attunement, you will have Reiki for life. And you will be able to heal and pass this technique on to others.

I would suggest to everyone, to learn the technique of Reiki. Not only for the experience of being able to heal ones self, but to be able to heal those close to you.

MJ is a Certified Reiki Master of Usui and Tibetan Reiki. She enjoys giving Reiki massages and teaching the Technique of Reiki, Quatum Touch, and Crystal Healing to others. To read more about MJ and her teaching go to http://healinghandsreiki.blogspot.com
